Governor of Illinois J.B. Pritzker (D) appointed Gillespie as acting Illinois Director of Insurance on April 9, 2024, to replace Dana Popish Severinghaus (nonpartisan), pending Senate confirmation.[1]
Biography
Ann Gillespie grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois and lives in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She earned a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Gillespie's professional experience includes practicing law and consulting in the healthcare industry.[2]
