Fairly clean hotel in a pretty building near the city centre, the center by walk and aiport. Handy location by the public transport, easy to get around. Easy walk to St Marks Unitarian Church.

The staff was amiable and understanding. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, I enjoyed it.

This place has modern rooms with a comfortable double bed and large windows, and all the staff members are incredibly friendly.

Auld Reekie Guest House is about 1 1/4 mile south of Waverley Train Station on the main road beginning at North Bridge (the road's name changes 6 times between the two points). It's actually a nice walk past lots of shops and restaurants, and a good way to experience a part of Edinburgh. The Guest House itself was kept immaculately clean, and the owners could not have been friendlier. The only shortcoming we encountered - which really was not a big deal - was an intermittent Wi-Fi signal in our room on the top floor. We definitely would stay here again!
