The hotel offers great value for money, especially during major events in Auckland. The staff at this hotel are friendly and provide excellent service. The basic amenities in the rooms are sufficient for a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is very convenient, with easy access to the train station and close proximity to the hospital.
Everything was satisfactory.

The hotel is conveniently located close to restaurants and the attractions we wanted to see. It was also easy to find on public transport routes, making it a great choice for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, paying attention to detail and ensuring our needs were met. The rooms were basic but had all the necessary amenities, including air conditioning to keep us comfortable during our stay.
Our experience at this hotel was enjoyable and there were no major issues.

I enjoyed that my family and I were given a larger unit for the same price when I asked for an extra bed. I have stayed here before and would stay again because it was affordable and homely. I especially loved that I didn't have to get water out of the bathroom to make a cup of tea. I really loathe doing this. I also like the 70's decor.

Great location close to newmarket
The rooms were not very clean. The kitchen was very old and not clean/untidy. The staff tried to put us in a room that worse than we paid for. The water wasnt working when we arrived and only was put on after we enquired about it.

The location
The room was never vacuumed during the eight days I was there. The mattress had a spring protruding through the surface which made sleeping uncomfortable. The motel was advertised with Sky tv yet for six of the say I stayed one of the sports channels did not work. The unit I stayed in had either fleas or bed bugs as I was attacked every night, I was bitten from head to toe. Frankly the place is a dump and it is dirty, I will NEVER stay there again.

This hotel had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The room was spacious and had a well-equipped kitchen. The staff were friendly and accommodating when it came to requests for wifi vouchers. The location was great, with easy access to shops and transportation.
Nothing to complain about at all.

found the staff to be very friendly and homely and have no faults with the motel other than the party that went on on the Saturday night in the unit next door and that wasnt the staff fault but rather naughty people in next unit who dissappeared before they got caught. Would reccomend the Ascot Hotel to friends to think of when they need a break away in Auckland Also like the location near to supermarket etc.
Cant think of anything we were very happy
