Clean accommodation, welcoming and incredible staff on reception desk. Newly remodelled & neat unit with bathroom, an unrestricted view of the well kept, for instance.
Wi-Fi was kind of slow.

Convenient location! It's just a short 10-15 minute stroll to a cool cinema. Plus, you've got shops and the fun "pubs in the park" event right at your doorstep. 🎥

The staff were very friendly. The reception area was welcoming and attractive decor in that area.
Our room was very small and dated. The bathroom was tiny and really unacceptable for a modern hotel. We also ordered a 7.30 am wake up call which wasn't made. This is unacceptable from any hotel.

Didn't have dinner in the acclaimed restaurant, but the breakfast was excellent. Choice of full English, kippers or smoked haddock. Fabulous location with views over the Cheshire Plain and Peak District. Comfortable and bright first-floor room – Fanshawe – in corner of main house with 'detached' bathroom across private passage.
Idiosyncratic plumbing, but which seemed to work okay. Slight air of faded grandeur that was endearing if anything.

Lovely hotel, very clean and friendly.
Room was lovely but a little on the small side. Also, drinks are very expensive which goes with the area really!
