FT – About Us

Financial Times content is now available via Wisers Information Ltd., a leading news aggregation service provider, through the FT’s first third party platform deal in Asia. The partnership will enable Wisers’ 10,000 active business users in Hong Kong, which include leading clients in the finance sector, to see FT headlines through its services.

Financial Times multi-platform licences allow professionals to access FT journalism in the most convenient way for their work. The FT already has close to 2,800 corporate customers who have purchased rights to read our content via 40 third party technology platforms globally. Corporate licences are a flexible arrangement whereby companies pay once for rights to access Financial Times content, independent of the technology or service used.

Caspar de Bono, Managing Director B2B at the FT said: “This agreement gives mutual Wisers and FT customers instant access to the essential FT news and analysis that helps them make more informed decisions. It marks a significant step into the FT’s expansion in Asia and supports our strategy of providing content to our readers through whichever platform or device is most convenient.”

Wisers CEO Denise Che said: “Businesses in Asia have shown increasing demand to access quality and authoritative international news. The addition of FT news and analysis on Wisers platform gives our clients unparalleled access to both our comprehensive Greater-China news and FT’s global source conveniently on a single-platform solution. We are honored to be FT’s first Asia channel and believe through this partnership our customers can enjoy the best of what Wisers and FT can offer.”

Wisers customers who do not have an FT corporate licence will see headlines of FT articles and can link to FT.com to read the full article. There they will be able to register to access eight articles per month for free, after which they will be invited to subscribe for full access. Under the Wisers deal, if a user signs an FT Corporate Licence of more than 10 users they can read the full article on Wisers services.
