Āgamajāla (आगमजाल) refers to the “network of Tantras”, according to the South-Indian recension of the Amanaska Yoga treatise dealing with meditation, absorption, yogic powers and liberation.—Accordingly, as Īśvara says to Vāmadeva: “[...] I have made known this yoga, with its preliminary and advanced stages, for the sake of attaining everything auspicious. It ought not to be given to [just] anyone. Some are deluded by the network of Tantras (āgamajāla), some by the inconsistencies in the vedic texts and some by philosophy. They do not know what causes one to cross over [to liberation]. [...]”.
