Biography

Baudouin, bâtard de Bourgogne, seigneur de Falais, Bredam and Sommerdick, was the son of Philippe "le Bon", duc de Bourgogne, and his mistress Catherine de Tiesferies. He was born in Lille about 1445.[1]

He married Maria Manuel de la Cerda and had the following children:

  1. Philippe, seigneur de Falais and Sommerdick, councillor and chamberlain to Emperor Charles V, died without having been married
  2. Charles, seigneur de Falais
  3. Maximilien, abbot of Middelburg in Zealand
  4. Madelene, married Philippe de Lannoy.[1]

Baudouin had the following children with his mistress Catherine (or Jacqueline) Gaure:

  1. François, seigneur de Neuvevre
  2. Baudouin, died 2 February 1546

He had one child with (possibly) Catherine d'Ayette:

  1. Marine, or Marie, married Guillaume V de Vergy

He had one child with a lady named Marine-Maurice:

  1. daughter, unmarried, died in 1515

And another possible son:

  1. Jean Baudouin, seigneur d'Orbec, whose descendance carried the name Baudouin[1]

Baudouin, bâtard de Bourgogne, died in Brussels in 1508.[1]
