Originally Founded in Denver CO in 1974, WAX TRAX! soon moved operations to Chicago and quickly became the center of underground music & art throughout the Mid-West.
Led by Jim Nash & Dannie Flesher, the store later gave birth to the pioneering music label, exposing the world to a wide catalog of experimental and electronic artists.
Seminal bands such as Ministry, Front 242, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, and Coil all got their US start on the WAX TRAX! RECORDS label.
We have resurrected the legendary record shop online, offering the most extensive assortment of private WAX TRAX! collectables & memorabilia found in one spot.
In addition to these vintage collectables, we have re-launched the label as a way to offer reissues and new pressings to old and new fans of the label.
