12 Roland Idowu
Born in Dublin, Roland began his career in Ireland with St Joseph’s before moving across to England for spells at Southampton and Cardiff City.
The 22-year-old returned to Ireland where he played with Bohemians and Waterford FC, where he played with Saints defender Richard Taylor. His form at Waterford saw him earn a move to Shrewsbury in January 2024 after scoring 15 goals and registering 20 assists in 74 matches for the Irish side.
Capped by Republic of Ireland at U16, U17 and U18 level, Roland joined Saints on loan until the end of season 2024/25 and scored our first William Hill Premiership goal of the season when he opened the scoring in our 3-0 win over Hibernian on the opening day.
