European Tractor Market - Statistics & Facts
In Europe in 2015, the most commonly purchased tractor brand was John Deere, with the U.S. tractor producer accounting for approximately 18.6 percent of the 169,500 tractors that were sold within the continent. When looking at companies which manufactured tractors, however, John Deere only came in third place after finishing behind Case New Holland (CNH) Industrial, with 24.1 percent of the market, and AGCO, with a 20.7 percent share.
Of tractor manufacturers which are based in Europe, CNH Industrial had the highest annual revenue, at approximately 25.33 billion US. dollars in 2016. The U.S.- based manufacturer AGCO, which owns the prominent Finnish brand Valtra and the German brand Fendt, generated a revenue of 7.4 billion U.S. dollars. Other European manufacturers of tractors include Zetro from Czechia and the Italian manufacturers Same Deutz-Fahr, Argo and Carraro.

These three countries, particularly Italy and Germany, also had very strong tractor industries with eight of the sixteen most popular brands in Europe originating in these nations.
