WhatsApp usage for news in Mexico 2024, by age group

As of February 2024, less than 40 percent of internet users surveyed in Mexico and aged 55 years and over said they accessed news on WhatsApp. Among respondents from the 18-24 age group, the share stood at 18 percent. The reliance on Facebook as a news source in Mexico was also lower among internet users aged 18 to 24.
