Retail store openings and closures in Great Britain H1 2016 to H1 2023
This chart presents the number of store openings and closures in Great Britain from the first half of 2016 to the first half of 2023. Data reveals that the number of store closures for multiple retailers in high streets, shopping centers and retail parks saw an increase in H1 2023 compared to the previous period and amounted to more than 6,500. However, store openings increased as well to 4,427. This made the net change in store opening and closures for Great Britain in H1 2023 -2,085.
