According to a survey on news consumption in India conducted in 2023, the most trusted news source among Indian news consumers were newspapers, as indicated by 44 percent of the respondents. Television news channels were the deemed the next most trustworthy news source during the survey period. In comparison, news aggregator platforms were among the least trusted news sources.
