Brazilian respondents were asked whether they had consumed a certain amount of alcoholic beverages (an intake of four or more doses of alcoholic drinks for women, and five or more doses for men) on a single occasion during the last 30 days. In 2023, nearly 30 percent of respondents aged between 25 and 34 years claimed to have drunk such amount of alcoholic beverages on a single occasion in the previous month, followed by those aged between 35 and 44 years, with 24.7 percent.

The survey was carried out in the capital city of each of the 26 Brazilian states, plus the Federal District of Brasília.
