From 2005 on, the share of French people who claim to be interested in news broadcast by the media has stayed relatively stable before slightly decreasing ten years later, reaching its lowest point in 2020 with 59 percent of respondents. With the following years came a renewed interest, as 76 percent of people were very or relatively interested in following the news broadcast by the media in 2023.
