Germany's electricity generation from wind power 2000-2023

In 2023, the combined amount of electricity generated from both onshore and offshore wind energy in Germany totaled 142 terawatt hours, with 118 terawatt hours from onshore farms and 24 terawatt hours from offshore sites. At that time, onshore wind power increased by some 18.6 percent from the previous year. The majority of electricity was generated from onshore wind power, offshore wind power only added a noteworthy amount from 2013 onwards.
