Individual imports of fully electric cars in the Netherlands 2011-2022
As of 2022, there were nearly 18,700 individual imports of fully electric cars into the Netherlands. This was an enormous increase compared to the previous year and the highest import volume of electric cars in the given period. The number of electric cars on the road increased annually between the period of 2016 and 2023. In 2014, there were roughly 46,000 electric passenger cars on the road in the Netherlands, whereas by 2022, it amounted to nearly 698,400.
