This statistic shows the level of difficulty of qualifying for a mortgage according to adults in the United States in the fourth quarter 2019, by region. One fifth of respondents who were living in the Northeast at the time of the survey believed that it was very difficult to afford a mortgage at their current financial situation, while only 21 percent thought it was not very difficult.
