Founded almost a century ago, the Toronto-based brand has remained one of the country’s most lucrative businesses with a network of around 1,700 retail locations. In 2021, Canadian Tire’s revenue amounted to 16.29 billion Canadian dollars, and in that same year, the company ranked second among consumers’ favorite DIY and home improvement retailers in Canada. In 2020, Canadian Tire held a market share of around 12 percent among domestic home improvement stores. It also is one of Canada’s top Google search queries.
