This statistic shows data on the number of businesses in retail trade in Germany in 2021 and 2022, broken down by industry. In 2022, a total of 51,610 taxable companies with an annual turnover of at least 22,000 euros were recorded in the mail order and internet retail sector. This was an increase compared to around 46,800 businesses in 2022.
