Retail sales turnover index of non-food stores in the Netherlands 2009-2023

Definitions provided by the source are as follows:

'Non-food shops - This category combines the following categories: 4719 department stores and similar non-specialised stores with non-food, 474 shops selling consumer electronics, 475 shops selling other household equipment, 476 shops selling reading, sports, camping and recreation goods, 477 shops selling other goods, excl. dispensing chemists (4773).'

Indices: 'An index compares the value of a variable (e.g. turnover) in a certain period with the value of the same variable in the base period. The index of this base period is 100.'

Turnover: 'The value of sales of goods and services to third parties, VAT included. Turnover includes the main activity as well as secondary activities. Third parties are consumer and enterprises not belonging to (the Dutch part of) the own group of companies.'
