German sales of Škoda cars have grown consistently between 2010 and 2019. However, the German automotive market has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, semiconductor shortage, and an increase in raw material prices. These factors contributed to a slump in Škoda sales, which dropped to some 143,900 units in 2022. In 2023, sales started to rise again to 168,561 cars sold.
