Operating profit of airlines worldwide 2006-2024

In 2023, the commercial airlines estimated to have roughly 52.2 billion U.S. dollars in operating income, which was four times more than the previous year. Over the period given, there were dramatic profit losses in 2020 and 2021. These were directly related to the coronavirus pandemic since the global aviation industry was one of the most affected sectors by the pandemic.
