According to a survey in 2023, over 70 percent of respondents in China stated that they connected their credit card and debit card to their mobile payment provider and used it to pay for their purchases. In additionalmost two-thirds of mobile payment users in China connected three or more cards to their mobile payment provider. The most popular mobile payment apps in the country included Alipay and Wechat Pay.
