In Sony's fiscal year 2021 (ending March 2022), the company's PlayStation 4 console accounted for two thirds of the digital PlayStation Store revenue. The console's successor, the PS5, was released in November 2020 but a global lack of availability has kept the PS5's revenue share relatively low. Sony has committed to scaling up PS5 production to meet global demand.
