According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 57 percent of respondents in their forties stated that they had purchased in-game money or in-game items for PC games. Around half of respondents in their thirties and fifties reported the same. Such purchases were significantly lower among teenagers and those in their sixties.
