In 2021, the share of non-western immigrants and descendants of immigrants in Denmark who were members of an association fell below 50 percent for the first time in the period under consideration. That year, 48 percent of non-western immigrants and descendants were members of an association. The share of the population with a Danish origin who were members of an association decreased since 2016, but was still higher than among non-western immigrants.
