WhatsApp usage for news in Colombia 2024, by age group

As of February 2024, more than half of internet users (55 percent) surveyed in Colombia and aged 55 years and over stated that they accessed news content through WhatsApp. Among respondents from the 18-24 age group, the share stood below 20 percent. That same year, the website of El Tiempo was the leading online news brand in Colombia.
