Intention to purchase a smartphone by non-smartphone owners in India 2019, by gender

A survey conducted in India in 2019 found that nine percent of male non-smartphone users intended to purchase a smartphone in the next six months, while eight percent of female non-smartphone users intended to do the same. The narrow margin between genders suggested that the smartphone gender gap is likely to shrink, but women's lack of financial agency in making purchasing decisions might be an obstacle to realize it.
