Global oil refinery throughput 1980-2023

The volume of daily oil refinery throughputs amounted to nearly 83 million barrels in 2023. Figures saw an increase of some 1.6 percent comparison with the previous year. Furthermore, growth in global oil demand resulted in daily throughput levels jumping by more than 20 million barrels since 1980. The United States is the leading oil refining country in the world.
