Reasons why the French do not buy second-hand textiles linens and shoes 2018
While a substantial proportion of French people purchase second-hand products or is willing to do so, this is not the case for the entire population. Among the reasons given by the French people surveyed in 2018 to explain the fact that they do not buy such products, the attachment to new products ranked first (73 percent). The second obstacle was, for almost one in seven respondents, concerns about the hygiene of second-hand products.
