The trading volume of the NEEQ Component Index on the National Equity Exchange and Quotations in China in 2023 amounted to 17 billion transactions. Before the worst trading year in the history of Chinese stock markets in 2018, the transactions exceeded 29 billion in 2017. Since 2018, however, the trading volume remained relatively stable at over five billion annual transactions.
