Most subscribed YouTubers from the Netherlands 2024

Music label Spinnin' Records was the biggest Dutch YouTube channel in July 2023, with over 31.2 million subscribers. Short video creator Scottsreality ranked second with over 20 million followers. Electronic music dominates the Netherlands' most popular channels with several entries, including the YouTube channels of DJs Tiësto with around 7.79 million subscribers. Another noticeable feature of Dutch YouTubers is their international appeal. Make-up artist and co-host to Eurovision 2020 in Rotterdam NikkieTutorials and Iranian-Dutch gamer Atro are examples of YouTubers who do not produce videos in Dutch. 

YouTube appeals to all ages

Google’s video service was the Netherlands’ third-most used social platform, with more than nine million overall users and nearly four million daily active users in 2021. As of April 2022, the Netherlands is the country with the highest YouTube penetration worldwide, with approximately 95 percent of the country's digital population using the popular video platform.

Let’s play a game: Twitch in the Netherlands

In August 2022, YaraskyGaming was the most-followed Dutch streamer on dedicated game streaming service Twitch. “Yarasky” and number two Enzo Knol were both successful YouTubers before they started on this platform. In 2022, Twitch was only used by approximately one in 10 social media users in the Netherlands, while YouTube was the leading social video platform.
