Tobacco products of national origin accounted for the largest excise tax revenues in Russia by contributing over 560 billion Russian rubles to the budgetary system from in 2019. A noteworthy upswing in excise tax revenues from nationally produced tobacco heating systems was marked from nearly 1 billion Russian rubles in 2018 to over 5 billion Russian rubles in 2019.
