Throughout 2021, companies providing book publishing services in Mexico had collectively a revenue of about 5.29 billion Mexican pesos, down from five billion pesos a year earlier – an annual decline of five percent. In 2021, almost two-thirds – 3.59 billion pesos – of the entire segment's revenue was generated by book publishers that also offered printing services. The gross production value of the book, newspaper, and magazine printing industry in Mexico increased by over 7.5 percent between 2020 and 2021.
