Milk alternatives brand rankings in the U.S.
Silk is the clearly dominant plant-based milk brand among U.S. consumers. It is challenged only by Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze and Chobani in brand awareness, brand consumption, and brand loyalty respectively, while Oatly is a promising prospect too.
We are abOAT to blow your mind with oat milk brand KPIs. As one of the most popular alternatives to cow’s milk, we have taken a closer look at the most relevant oat milk brands in the United States and provide you with insights on their most important brand KPIs. With plant-based diets becoming more and more common and related products growing their customer base, all these brands might just be able to milk that for their success.
- Silk leads in brand awareness, with 82 %
- Silk also beats Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze in consumption share
- 80 % of Chobani customers are loyal to the brand
Silk-y Smooth taste is on everyone’s lips
Silk and Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze sit at the top of the brand awareness ranking for milk alternatives in the U.S. Meanwhile Forager Project, Elmhurst, and Minor Figures are still, well, minor figures indeed as they rank at the lower end of this ranking. However, the potential for growth is probably bigger than ever, with the share of consumers switching to plant-based milk alternatives steadily growing.
Got Milk? We are talking Blue Diamond's and Silk
It’s no use crying over spilt milk – the dairy free diet is on the rise. The ever-growing consumption of plant-based milk substitutes is fueled not only by vegans and consumers with lactose intolerance, but also by many other consumers who don’t necessarily adhere to strict dietary restrictions. Silk and Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze take the top spots in the milk alternatives usage share ranking. Hidden champion Malk, as well as Chobani and Califia Farms are for now behind, but there’s no need to glOAT, as success might just be a good marketing campaign away.
Silk also takes the crown in customer loyalty
Alongside Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze and Chobani, Silk takes the top spot in our loyalty ranking, indicating that consumers who drink their products will do so again in the future. The future is looking bright for these milk alternatives brands. On the other hand, brands with a loyalty share around 60 percent or lower might have expired some of their consumers' interest in the past as they are far less likely planning to come back for more in the future.
