Refining your search area
Upon conducting a search, you will be directed to a results page, on which all results are displayed. Here you have several options to further narrow your search.
On the upper right hand side of the screen, you can find the refine section, which includes features designed to help you filter search results and locate content more easily. The two features are namely tags and filters.
Tags are keywords or labels assigned to content that help categorize it by specific topics or categories. When a tag is clicked on, our system will filter the current search results and display only content relevant to that tag. In this way, the number of results are reduced and you can easily find the content that you are looking for.
Filters, on the other hand, provide a sidebar with multiple options to narrow down search results. You can apply various filters based on criteria such as content type, location, industry, or other relevant factors. Our system will then display only results that meet the selected filter criteria, further refining the search and helping uses find the most relevant content.
With the facetted search feature, the ten mostly used tags among the current search result are shown in form of tag clouds. When a specific tag is selected, the number of results that will be shown is indicated within a parenthesis beside the tag. Upon selection of a particular tag, the search results will be filtered and further tags will be updated based on the current displayed results.
When clicking on the "More filters" button, a sidebar will be opened on the right side of the screen. Here you will be able to select the filters that can help you find your desired information.
There are a few criteria in which you can filter your search results, which includes:
Under the Content Types filter option, a wide range of content types is encompassed. All diverse types of reports are consolidated under the option "Reports," and all the various Market Insights under the option "Market Insights." Next to the description of the content type, you will find a label that indicates the quantity of search results for the particular type that have been retrieved for the ongoing search.
With this filter, you can adjust the broadness of your search. The default search accuracy is set to include all keywords that have been typed on the search bar. This filter gives you the option to change that and search for any of the entered terms.
You can also specify the location that the search should encompass by selecting a particular country or region. The results will then be restricted to only those related to the selected region.
For the option of focusing your search in a specific field, you can make use of the industry and subindustry filters.
Another useful filter is the publication date. With this, you can filter the results by specific years when the content was published.
Simply click on the "Apply filters" button to apply the filters. In case you want to start over, a "Reset all" button is available to clear all applied filters.
Additionally, the number of applied filters are shown in parenthesis as a button description for you to keep track of the filters that are currently being applied.
