Hello and welcome to my webpage. I am excited to be providing speech and language therapy to the students at Busch Middle School of Character this 2023-2024 academic school year. I absolutely have a passion for helping students develop their communication skills. Improving a student's ability to interact and communicate with others is crucial to the ongoing success of every student, both socially as well as academically.
Experience
I have been a Speech and Language Pathologist for the past 25 years. I began my career as a Speech and Language Pathologist in Illinois working with autistic preschoolers in an Early Childhood setting. I later moved to the San Juan Valley in California, where I had the opportunity to work in a Deaf Education Preschool Center and in a migrant camp. I later moved back to the St. Louis area and took a position as a Speech and Language Pathologist with Special School District. After two years of working as a Speech and Language Pathologist in Special School District, I was given the opportunity to take a position at Cardinal Glennon Hospital for Children.
As I moved from setting to setting, I began to realize that I thoroughly enjoyed working with children within a school setting, thus I moved to St. Charles where I became a Self-Contained Language Classroom Teacher working with children with varying language based disabilities. After 30 years, I decided to retire from the City of St. Charles School District and join St. Louis Public Schools. I have been with St. Louis Public Schools for the past nine years working at various schools within the district, the most recent of which was Gateway Math and Science Middle School.
