Campus & Facilities
The Campus & Facilities division is responsible for developing and managing the facilities and services on the Radboud campus. These include catering, sports and cultural facilities, teaching halls, campus-wide (construction) projects and building-related services such as cleaning. Under the motto "Experience, connect, move, enjoy!", Campus & Facilities creates added value for all students, staff and visitors to the campus.
Vision Campus & Facilities
By offering excellent facilities and hospitable service, the Campus & Facilities division aims to create an environment where high-quality research and teaching can take place and where you experience the Radboud vibe. Both on campus and online: this is where you want to study, this is where you want to work, this is where you want to belong and be!
Pillars
Campus & Facilities employees shape the vision of their division by actively implementing four pillars on a daily basis, namely: Campus Plan, Community Plan, Service Concept and Organisational Plan.
What will the Radboud campus look like in ten years' time? What services will be needed in the future and what are the changes in education, research and business activity? How many students can we expect at Radboud University and how will staff work? Based on these issues, Campus Development, part of the Campus & Facilities division, has developed a campus plan for the future of the Radboud campus. This plan includes which facilities and buildings will be demolished or rebuilt and where new buildings and green spaces will be built. The campus plan is derived from the Radboud Strategy 'a significant impact' and the campus strategy. How these strategies are translated into concrete construction and renovation projects and programmes until 2030 can be found in the Campus Plan.
For the Radboud campus to reach its full potential, it is important to work on the formation of the Radboud Community. Both on campus and online: this is where you want to study, this is where you want to work, this is where you want to belong and be! (Proud to be Radboud). In the Community Plan, all Radboud initiatives such as events, activities, debates, and so on, will be aligned, so that they can grow and make the Radboud campus even more lively. The community plan is currently being worked out. Valuable guidelines for this are the research results on the enthusiasm for and expectations of the Campus Life programme.
Within Radboud University, many services are provided that make education and research possible and more enjoyable. Because it is the wish of all users of these services (customers) to have easy access to services they are extremely satisfied with, the service concept was developed. This concept is designed from the perspective of and in coordination with users and includes both frameworks and a working method aimed at offering all services as customer-oriented, recognisable and personal as possible. The aim of the service concept is for all service providers within Radboud University to start thinking from their customers (students, staff and visitors) so that they can provide services based on these thoughts.
Campus & Facilities is constantly working to improve both its services and the competences, knowledge and skills of its employees needed for this. The division aims to be a learning organisation by training or retraining people and by allowing their personal leadership to contribute to achieving the goals set. Campus & Facilities is result- and future-oriented, partly through the active use of strategic personnel planning.
