Canadian Western Bank (TSX: CWB) is a Schedule I chartered bank regionally focused on Western Canada. It operates as a subsidiary of CWB Financial Group. With about 2,100 FTE employees, the company provides a diversified range of business and personal banking services through over 40 branches including 17 branches in Alberta, 18 branches in British Columbia, four branches in Saskatchewan and two in Manitoba. The company offers current and savings accounts, credit cards, RRSP loans, consolidation loans, car loans, recreational vehicle loans, lines of credit, fixed rate and variable rate mortgages as well as commercial lending, real estate construction financing, energy lending, equipment financing & leasing, cash management, trust services, guaranteed investment certificates (GIC), mutual funds, online banking and more. It also offers life and disability insurance through Canada Life Assurance Company. In 2013, CWB acquired majority ownership of McLean & Partners Wealth Management. In 2015, CWB sold assets of Valiant Trust Company to Computershare Ltd, a transfer agency based in Toronto. It also sold its property and casualty insurance subsidiary Canadian Direct Insurance to Intact Financial Corporation.

As at October 31, 2017, CWB Financial Group had total assets of C$26.447 billion, total deposits of C$21.903 billion, loans of C$23.229 billion and assets under administration of C$10.4 billion.
