The Scout is tipping five players for big success in Gameweek 16 of 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League, ahead of Saturday's 13:30 GMT deadline.
Alisson (Liverpool) £5.4m
Arne Slot revealed on Monday that Alisson was not just fit but also ready to start after two months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The Brazilian returns at an opportune time for investment in FPL.
Only one of Liverpool's next 10 fixtures score more than three in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).
Liverpool's next 10 matches
GW | Opp. | FDR | GW | Opp. | FDR |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
16 | Fulham (H) | 2 | 21 | Forest (A) | 2 |
17 | Spurs (A) | 4 | 22 | Brentford (A) | 3 |
18 | Leicester (H) | 2 | 23 | Ipswich (H) | 2 |
19 | West Ham (A) | 2 | 24 | Bournemouth (A) | 3 |
20 | Man Utd (H) | 3 | 25 | Wolves (H) | 2 |
*1 = easiest possible fixture, 5 = hardest possible fixture
And he'll be returning to the statistically best backline in the division.
The Reds have only conceded 11 goals, fewer than any other side, and also lead the league for clean sheets, with seven.
Alisson, meanwhile, has averaged 5.8 points per match, more than any other goalkeeper in 2024/25 Fantasy.
Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) £9.5m
Back-to-back starts have provided reassurance over the fitness of Man City's Belgian playmaker.
Having recovered from a hamstring injury, De Bruyne had been gradually building up his match sharpness in November with a string of second-half cameos.
Back in the starting XI in Gameweek 14, the 33-year-old midfielder looked immediately back to his best with a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
De Bruyne's rate of chances created, one every 23 minutes, is superior to all other Premier League players who have made at least one start this season.
The Belgium international also loves playing against Manchester United, who he faces in Gameweek 16.
In his last four appearances against Man City's rivals, De Bruyne has produced two goals and four assists.
Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) £5.0m
Fernandez's recent form hasn't gone unnoticed by Fantasy managers, who have made him the most-bought midfielder of Gameweek 16 so far.
But despite being transferred in to over 156,000 teams, the Argentina international remains a differential, at just 4.8 per-cent owned.
A recent tactical tweak from Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has unleashed Fernandez as an attacking force.
Since his return to the Blues' starting XI in Gameweek 12, Fernandez is ranked third among all FPL midfielders for non-penalty Expected Goal Involvement (xGI), with 2.73.
That's even ahead of the much-pricier Son Heung-min (£9.8m) and Bukayo Saka (£10.5m).
Fernandez has also delivered at least one attacking return in each of the last five Gameweeks.
With all of Chelsea's next seven matches scoring two in the FDR, the Argentinian midfielder has the fixtures, as well as the form, to extend his recent run of goals and assists.
Dean Huijsen (AFC Bournemouth) £4.3m
FPL managers in the market for a cheap defender should consider Bournemouth's centre-back.
With Marcos Senesi (£4.8m) ruled out for a significant period of time with a muscle injury, Huijsen looks set for a run of starts in the Cherries' team.
Conveniently, the next five matches for Andoni Iraola's side all score three or less in the FDR.
As well as clean-sheet potential, Huijsen offers some attacking threat.
The 19-year-old defender has registered five shots in just 430 minutes, one of which found the back of the net in Gameweek 14.
Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) £6.6m
Brighton's Japanese winger has started 14 matches this season, more than any of his team-mates.
In a busy fixture period when rotation is a concern across the division, that reliability of minutes is a real plus point.
Mitoma is producing encouraging numbers when he is on the pitch, too.
No Seagulls player can better his totals for big chances (nine), big chances created (five) and xGI, with a score of 6.17.
All of Brighton's next three matches, and nine of their next 13, all score two in the FDR.
Meanwhile, Brighton's opponents in Gameweeks 17 and 18, West Ham United and Brentford, are also the bottom two clubs for chances conceded down their own right flank - which is a weakness that left winger Mitoma could exploit.
