Solargons are octagonal buildings featuring passive solar design principles. Assembly requires hours for the 20’ model and less than two days for the 30’ model.

The closets in this house make it a favorite. All four bedrooms have nice big closets. Three bedrooms share a large bathroom with double sinks, and the primary bedroom has its own ensuite. Other highlights include a rear entryway that walks into a mud room/laundry, a clever powder room with a linen closet and double sinks, a huge great room and a den that would make a very nice theater.

There is a lot to love about this floor plan. The big eat-in kitchen with a built-in desk is one thing. The side entrance into a utility/mud room is another. The primary bedroom is also attractive with the double sink vanity in the ensuite bath, a computer desk, his and her closets and a private sitting room. Note the handy entry closet.

Our yurt has an open floor plan. Yes, we could have added walls. We could have added a loft. Coulda Woulda Shoulda, right? As it was, mom never planned for her yurt to be permanent housing.
