The stone castle (pictured), in the village of Ardrahan in County Galway, Ireland, features a 16th Century tower and a Victorian main house.

The medieval restaurant is located in the basement of a historic building in Old Town of Riga, Latvia. The restaurant boasts a lovely décor. Even our waiter was dressed in medieval costume. I had rabbit as my lunch. Another specialty in Riga, Latvia was fried garlic bread. It was very good.

The Dining Room was originally the soldier's kitchen, you can still see the small bread oven on the left of the fire place. The dining room table was specially designed by Edward Lutyens. A feature of the table is that it was made smooth on both the top and underside. Henry VIII's banqueting hall, covered in original tapestries. When we went, they were celebrating the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne, and they had reenactments of his wedding to Kateryn Parr. I don't believe the Hall is usually decked out like this. We were lucky! (And if I lived in London, I'd be at this place every weekend, if not more often.) Hampton Court Palace.
