Plan Ahead This Holiday Season!

With the holidays upon us, there's never been a better time to PLAN AHEAD for a sober ride home. During the past five years in Maryland, almost 800 people have been killed in crashes involving an impaired driver. In fact, deaths resulting from impaired driving crashes amount to about a third of all roadway fatalities. Fortunately, there are many ways to prevent these tragedies from occurring, including rideshare services, taxis, designating a sober driver, or using public transportation. NO EXCUSES.

Ports

The MDOT Port Administration (MPA) stimulates the flow of waterborne commerce through the ports in the State of Maryland in a manner that provides economic benefit to the citizens of the state.

Transit

The MDOT Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) operates Local Buses (CityLink and LocalLink), Commuter Buses, Light RailLink, Metro SubwayLink, Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) Train Service, and a comprehensive Paratransit (MobilityLink) system. MTA also manages the Taxi Access system, and directs funding and statewide assistance to Locally Operated Transit Systems (LOTS) in each of Maryland's 23 counties, Baltimore City, Annapolis and Ocean City.
