School Crossing Guard Needed!

Do you want to help keeping our children safe and provide a valuable service to your community?

Staffing Services Inc. is hiring for school crossing guards in Markham. The role of a school crossing guard is to assist students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 in crossing busy streets where there are limited opportunities for them to safely do so by themselves. This paid part-time position covers a morning & afternoon shift during the school year.

Markham Civic Centre Outdoor Ice Rink is now open!

Markham Civic Centre Outdoor Ice Rink is open for the 2023-24 season!

Surrounded by the city's iconic architecture and vibrant atmosphere, the rink is a favorite destination for families, friends, and solo skaters alike. Of course, admission is free!

One of the key highlights of the rink is the convenience it offers. Not to worry if you don't have your own skates as rentals will be available on-site. Visit the skate rentals site for information on opening times and costs.

The Markham Civic Centre Outdoor Ice Rink is scheduled to open until March 17, 2024 (weather permitting).

We recommend that all recreational skaters wear a Canadian Standards Association (C.S.A) approved hockey helmet.
