For this purpose the Order also authorises the Council compulsorily or by agreement to acquire land and rights in land.PART IVOPERATION OF BUSWAY SYSTEMTown and country planning34The busway system shall be regarded as a road transport undertaking for the purposes of section 262(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (meaning of “statutory undertakers”).
