Kunstmuseum Den Haag accepts cash, payment by PIN and all regular credit cards. Unfortunately, we cannot accept € 100, € 200 or € 500 notes or 1 or 2 eurocent coins.

Cardholders who are in possession of a valid Museum Card, but who – for whatever reason – cannot show it on site, are not entitled to access. Copies or (digital) images of the Museum Card are not accepted.

Museum tickets are available at the ticket office and cost:

Museum card for adults from 19 years old € 75.00
Museum card for young people up to the age of 18 € 39.00

By public transport

• From Central Station, bus 24 and tram 17 takes you directly to the Kunstmuseum.
• From Hollands Spoor station you can use tram 17. This tram stops at the Kunstmuseum.

By car

From the Utrechtsebaan (A4 and A12) follow signs to 'Kijkduin', then to the 'Kunstmuseum'.

There is space for parking (paid) in front of Kunstmuseum Den Haag. Paid parking applies from 1 pm and is € 2.50 per hour. 

Kunstmuseum Den Haag has two disabled parking spaces, which can be used free of charge by anyone with a disabled parking card. If these spaces are occupied, the only alternative parking is on the street. There are no indoor parking facilities with disabled parking spaces in the vicinity. 

Coaches
Passengers can be loaded and unloaded in the designated places immediately outside the doors of the Kunstmuseum/Museon.

Kunstmuseum Den Haag is keen that everyone should feel welcome on its premises. Unfortunately, however, our beautiful building does not have good disabled access throughout. Grand Café
Open Tuesday - Sunday 11 A.M. - 5 P.M.

The Grand Café is the ideal place to punctuate your visit to the Kunstmuseum with a delicious cup of Peeze coffee, a freshly made lunch or a quick sweet or savoury snack. Its new, wider menu stresses organic, sustainable and responsibly grown products.

Located in the museum’s newly roofed-in Garden Gallery, the Grand Café guarantees you a peaceful break. Designer Richard Hutten has set his stamp on its interior with urniture designed specifically for the museum, while the café’s playful lampshades – a Danish design classic by Poul Henningsen – provide the perfect complement to the chair and relieve the austere modernity of the space.

Gember
Open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 A.M.

Café/restaurant Gember serves the adjacent Fotomuseum Den Haag and KM21 museum of contemporary art. For modern design buffs, this is the place to be. The restaurant is furnished with pieces by designer Richard Hutten, an eye-catching reading table by Job Smeets and lighting installations by Babak Afrassiabi and Ralph van Meygaard.

Summer visitors can also relax on Gember’s heavenly open-air terrace, overlooking the lily ponds of the Kunstmuseum. The café/restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. and serves the general public as well as museum visitors. All this makes Gember a great place to entertain your friends or clients, whether or not you intend to visit the Fotomuseum Den Haag and/or KM21.

Brasserie Berlage
Open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 A.M

When architect H.P. Berlage’s last great masterpiece – the Kunstmuseum Den Haag – was built in the 1930s, a beautiful garden pavilion was included as a place for museum visitors and passers-by to rest and relax. The restaurant that now occupies the building is attractively furnished and decorated in Art Deco style and fully lives up to its name of “Brasserie Berlage”. The extensive renovation of the Kunstmuseum in 1997 included a top-to-toe refurbishment of Berlage’s garden pavilion. Its open-air terrace was restored and a comfortable new glass-walled extension was built on at the side.

Despite the warmly nostalgic atmosphere of its Art Deco interior, Brasserie Berlage is not all about the past. It is a comfortable and convenient 70-seat restaurant with a sunny south-facing terrace. Its menu offers a mix of classic and contemporary dishes that provides a wealth of choice for aficionados both of traditional French cuisine and of go-ahead modern gastronomy. Culinary sophistication, contemporary influences, affordable prices and present-day comfort in an authentic 1930s setting… it’s an unbeatable combination. Moreover, the spacious glass-walled extension or ‘Serre’ – complete with its own separate entrance, sanitary facilities and open-air terrace – is the perfect place for private events like dinner parties, weddings, receptions and presentations.
