Missouri man dies days after being hit by a Miller County deputy

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - A man from Eldon has died days after being hit by a Miller County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, on November 21, around 9 p.m., the deputy was driving on Missouri Highway 17 just north of Tuscumbia.
The crash happened when the deputy was driving on the road when he hit the pedestrian, who was standing in the center of the road.
The 26-year-old man from Eldon died at the University Hospital in Columbia on November 27.
This marks MSHP Troop F’s 48th fatal crash in 2024.
