Detail : John Lennon's official "bootleg" release, collecting together many tracks already known to collectors.
Credited to John Lennon

It was in 1988 that Yoko first promised us a retrospective of John's solo career, and 10 years later this box set was the result.
Four C.D.'s containing a collection of off-cuts, outtakes, home demos, live recordings and audio verite moments.
Many of the pieces have already been heard on bootlegs and tapes from the "Lost Lennon Tapes" radio show broadcast in America.

The box is a big solid affair, housing what first looks like five C.D.'s, but the fifth is an excellent 60 page book.
Each C.D. is in a three way opening pack, with a drawing on the front cover, a unique picture of John inside,
a picture of something to do with John, a quote from John (shown below) and a track listing (with erroneous timings).
All the cover drawings are by John, the art concept being by Yoko.

A condensed version of this Box Set called Wonsaponatime was released one day after the full set.

"I hope you enjoy this box. This is the John that I knew, not the John that you knew through the press, the records and the films.
I am saying to you, here is my John. I wish to share my knowledge of him with you. It was an incredible honour for me to have been with him."
Yoko.

"Sometimes you wonder,
            I mean really wonder.
