Gilbert K. Squires, P.E., BCS, FCCA, DCIArb, Joins JAMS in Miami
Miami – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Gilbert K. Squires, P.E., BCS, FCCA, DCIArb, has joined its panel. Mr. Squires joins JAMS as an accomplished arbitrator and mediator with over four decades of experience handling matters in global business, construction, oil and gas, power generation and law.
Prior to joining JAMS, Mr. Squires had a diverse business career spanning related disciplines and global locations. He has served as an international and domestic arbitrator, mediator, advocate and company representative in over 500 cases while working as an international lawyer, engineer, and oil and gas company executive. He began his career as an offshore drilling engineer and advanced to operations and executive positions in global companies, including serving as a company executive of Conoco Mexico Ltd. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian, and conversant in five other languages. He has also served as faculty in numerous arbitration programs in the United States and Latin America.
Based in the Miami Resolution Center , Mr. Squires will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, court-appointed neutral and special master/referee, handling business/commercial, international and cross-border, energy, maritime and admiralty, construction, real estate, estate/probate/trust and technology cases. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.

In addition to his international experience, Mr. Squires remains an active member of the Miami legal community. He was a co-founding member of the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS) and a former president of the Miami-Dade Bar Association and Miami Beach Bar Association, and he has served on several Florida Bar committees related to ADR, international law, international litigation and arbitration, and practice optimization. He is well known for creating empathy-filled environments in case proceedings and is lauded within the legal community for his contributions to the advancement of ADR in Florida and beyond.

Mr. Squires earned his B.S. from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
